Tender Paws Therapy Group

Canine Hearts for the Community

About Us

Tender Paws is an all volunteer organization dedicated to conducting Animal Assisted Activities and Animal Assisted Therapy in the Clarksville / Montgomery County, Ft. Campbell / Christian County, Dickson County and Houston County areas. Our goal is to provide quality interactions to those we visit using qualified, tested and insured teams at no cost to the community. We visit hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, senior center, hospices, schools, libraries and camps to provide comfort and smiles.

Tender Paws is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2001 by Adam Munn. As a college student at Murray State majoring in occupational safety, Munn was required to complete a community service project for his honor society. He had seen a television program about therapy dogs and thought his Golden Retriever, Brandy, would make a wonderful therapy dog. After getting Brandy registered as a Therapy Animal and beginning to make visits, he realized that many potential volunteers would need guidance and support to also get started with their potential therapy animal. Munn then formally created Tender Paws.
